What I Keep in Mind When Drawing Creatures

Deforming fur, feathers, and patterns (emphasizing features while simplifying unnecessary parts) for better clarity.

Keeping skeletal and anatomical structures largely non-deformed.

Avoiding cartoonish facial expressions when depicting creature movements.

Making them approachable (not overly realistic) so even children or those unfamiliar with creatures/nature can enjoy them.

Modifying backgrounds when necessary to protect specific habitats from being revealed.

Explanatory Illustrations
In addition to creature accuracy, I pay close attention to layout and color schemes to ensure they are easy to understand at a glance.
Illustrations with Backgrounds
Detailed anime-style illustrations featuring backgrounds and shading.
I focus on lighting to convey the atmosphere of the scene and use techniques like focusing on the main subject.
Simple Illustrations
A clean, minimalist art style with reduced shading and background details, offering a soft and gentle touch.
